Job Description:
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with Estimating skills to join our clients forward-thinking team to help deliver strategic priorities. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will drive all commercial aspects including procurement, tender-winning, risk, contract administration and sub-contract management. The role will include an element of estimating in assisting the sales team producing very high quality detailed quotations.
The successful candidate will:
· Hold a recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying and be able to demonstrate evidence of significant Career Long Professional Learning (CLPL).
· Have at least a minimum of 5-years post qualification surveying experience working in a construction or building services environment.
· Be an excellent team-player and negotiator with effective communication skills and able to generate reports to an exceptionally high standard.
· Be determined to succeed with a positive "can-do" attitude and able to engage with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
Must have Quantity Surveying experience or Qualification.
Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
· Co-ordinating all aspects of Quantity Surveying across the organisation including procurement, tender winning, risk analysis, contract administration, sub-contract management.
· Managing costs, analysis of labour, plant and materials and the preparation of valuations for payment applications through to final accounts.
· Supporting delivery teams to improve competitiveness, boost productivity and deliver operational excellence across all aspects of the organisation.
· Work off architect drawings to provide take offs for estimating purposes
· Develop a comprehensive technical estimation. This estimation should include structured work scope, budgeted hours, and direct costs.
· Collaborate with suppliers and sub-contractors during estimation process.
· Liaise with customer contacts to gain a thorough understanding of their requirements.
· Discuss aspects related to the quotation return date, technical scope, commercial terms, delivery expectations, and quality standards.
· Formulate detailed commercial quotation documents based on the technical estimation.
