Job Description:
*Near Stow on the Wold
*£30,000
*20 days holiday + bank holidays
*Comfortable uniform provided
*Beautiful Countryside Estate
*8am - 4pm Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work required)
The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working on behalf of a private UHNW family residing in a beautiful Cotswolds residence located near Stow on the Wold, who are seeking a Gardener/Groundsman to join their first-class team.
Responsibilities: *Mow lawns around the garden and parkland to the highest standards.
*Apply fertilizers and lawn treatments.
*Maintain the tennis court.
*Mow and maintain grass verges.
*Conduct woodland works, including minor tree tasks.
*Produce compost and maintain the compost area.
*Perform pond and river maintenance.
*Clear snow and spread salt around the estate when necessary.
*Maintain drains and ditches.
*Maintain gardens of other properties in and around the estate.
*Maintain garden buildings, paths, walls, fences, and gates to appropriate standards.
*Ensure all machinery and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
*Provide logs and kindling to the main house and other estate properties.
*Prune and maintain shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plants, and prepare soil beds.
*Plant a variety of trees, shrubs, and plants according to the planting schedule and layouts.
*Uphold high standards at all times, ensuring health & safety policies and procedures are abided by.
*Skills and attributes required
*The position would suit a gardener with a real passion for horticulture and excellent attention to detail
*You will need to be hands-on, physically fit and work in all weather conditions
*The ideal candidate will hold a Horticultural Qualification, Spray Certificates PA1/PA6 and a Chainsaw Certificate however, this is not essential.
*Own transport is also required due to the rural location.
