Job Description:
Our client, a prominent entity in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Analyst (GC-MS Analyst) to join their UKAS Accredited Air Monitoring Laboratory on a contract basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and friendly team, undertaking analytical testing using GC-MS techniques to identify and quantify organic compounds in samples.
Key Responsibilities: *Conducting analytical testing using GC-MS techniques
*Identifying and quantifying organic compounds in a variety of samples
*Handling chemicals, instruments, and equipment with a focus on safety
*Documenting analytical procedures and results accurately
Job Requirements: *Experience in analytical chemistry, particularly with GC-MS
*Knowledge or experience in HPLC and Ion chromatography is advantageous
*Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
*Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
*Strong communication skills
Work Schedule: *Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5.15pm
*Friday: 8.30am to 4.00pm
