Job Specification: Joiner (Wooden Floor Installer) - Derby
Position: Joiner (Wooden Floor Installer)
Location: Derby, UK
Start Date: Monday, 2nd December 2024
Rate: £18 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary/Contract
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and skilled Joiner to join our team in Derby for the installation of wooden floors. The successful candidate will be required to carry out high-quality work and adhere to safety standards on site. This is a temporary position with an immediate start on Monday, 2nd December 2024.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: *Install wooden flooring to a high standard in residential and commercial properties.
*Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit the designated space.
*Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
*Work efficiently and within deadlines to meet project timelines.
*Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety guidelines.
*Report any issues or discrepancies to the site manager.
*Liaise with other tradespeople on site as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: *Proven experience as a Joiner, particularly in wooden floor installation.
*Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) required.
*Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
*Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.
*Ability to use joinery tools and equipment safely and effectively.
*Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
Desirable Skills: *Previous experience in both residential and commercial floor installations.
*Own tools and transport would be advantageous.
Working Hours: *Full-time, Monday to Friday (with potential for overtime as required).
*Standard working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (subject to site requirements).
