Job Description:
Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Tax Manager to join a Currency Exchange Business on a 3-6-month Contract. The position pays £450 - £500 per day, depending on experience (inside IR35). This role is hybrid, working 3 days in their London office and the rest from home.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
*Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
*Manage tax provisions and deferred tax calculations as part of the statutory reporting process.
Tax Reporting:
*Prepare and deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly tax reports for internal and external stakeholders.
*Facilitate regular updates to senior management on tax obligations and exposures.
Tax Disclosures:
*Ensure accurate and transparent tax disclosures in financial statements, adhering to applicable accounting standards.
*Coordinate with external auditors to validate tax-related disclosures and address queries.
Tax Calculations and Risk Management:
*Calculate corporate income tax liabilities, deferred taxes, and transfer pricing adjustments.
*Identify and mitigate tax-related risks through robust internal controls and risk management practices.
Audit (Tax Perspective):
*Act as the primary contact for tax-related audits, providing required documentation and resolving inquiries efficiently.
*Collaborate with external advisors and tax authorities to address assessments and rulings.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
*Partner with finance, legal, and operational teams to align tax activities with organisational goals.
*Support internal stakeholders in understanding and addressing tax matters.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
*ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience.
*Proven experience managing tax operations for a multinational, preferably within a currency exchange or financial services business.
*Strong understanding of international tax laws and transfer pricing.
*Extensive expertise and demonstrated proficiency in corporation tax.
*Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
*Experience managing tax audits and external relationships.
*Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
