Location: Wrexham, LL13 8BG
Contract Length: 2-3 months (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: £28 per hour (via Umbrella)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
Wrexham Council is seeking an experienced Policy and Project Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This critical role will support the commissioning and contracting of statutory and third-sector social care provision across Wrexham.
Key Responsibilities:
*Drafting a suite of strategy and policy documents informed by research, national policy, and guidance.
*Engaging with stakeholders and social care teams to shape the department’s strategic direction.
*Addressing resource and capacity needs within the team to ensure the successful delivery of objectives.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
*Proven experience in policy and strategy development within the social care or public sector.
*Strong research and drafting skills.
*The ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to influence strategic outcomes.
