Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in preventative and reactive maintenance, demonstrate strong diagnostic abilities, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-paced factory environment.
Hours:
*Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Responsibilities:
*Adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
*Ensure statutory inspections are completed on time and that any required remedial actions are properly logged.
*Identify and implement improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
*Perform timely repairs and breakdown resolutions, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement corrective and preventative measures.
*Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards within a structured 5S environment.
*Collaborate with external professionals and specialists as needed to support operational excellence.
*Uphold Health & Safety standards, addressing and escalating any risks or issues.
*Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Production Shift Managers to ensure smooth operations.
*Communicate effectively within the team, showing initiative and leadership when required.
*Contribute to an Engineering team that delivers world-class services and solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
*Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent (e.g., HND, HNC, ONC, City & Guilds) in a relevant subject.
*At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a high-paced factory environment.
*Comprehensive knowledge of Planned and Reactive Maintenance, including fault finding and diagnostics.
*Expertise in PLC systems and HMI controls.
*17th/18th Edition certification is required.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
