The Role
Empass Law are seeking an experienced Practice Manager/Compliance Officer who is keen to move to a highly regarded firm in Mayfair. We are looking to appoint an efficient and proactive Practice Manager/Compliance Officer to oversee our daily operations. This is a pivotal role, offering the chance to make a real impact within a friendly and supportive team. The role includes but not limited to the following responsibilities: -
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of efficiency

* Support the Senior Partner with their managing, including recruitment, staff inductions, and managing employee records

* Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining office systems, including IT

* Coordinate office maintenance, supplier relationships, and insurance renewals

* Ensure compliance with legal industry regulations and company policies, checking ID, address proof source of funding, source of wealth check 

About You/The Candidate
* Proven experience in a Practice Manager role (minimum 2 years), ideally within a law firm

*Understanding of how a law firm undertakes AML, especially source of funds and wealth in property transactions
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a hands-on approach

* Familiarity with office management procedures and SRA principles

* IT proficient with experience in managing office software and systems

* Understanding compliance procedures
