Our client, a well-established business located in a picturesque rural area of South Warwickshire, is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role begins as a temporary position, with the potential to transition to a permanent role. Flexible working hours and days are offered, and hybrid working may be available following a successful initial period. As a Finance Assistant, you will take charge of daily purchase and sales ledger processing, alongside supporting the Finance Manager with various bookkeeping tasks. This is a diverse and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a solid foundation in finance.
Key Responsibilities
*Raising sales invoices for service calls.
*Creating proforma invoices for non-credit account customers and processing online payments via Worldpay.
*Generating purchase invoices for suppliers providing technical services.
*Managing credit control, including chasing outstanding payments for service calls.
*Preparing supplier payment lists at month-end.
*Posting nominal journals to the trial balance stage.
*Performing ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts role.
*Proficiency with Sage 50.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
*Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and 365).
Additional Information
*Part-time role: 16–30 hours per week, with flexibility on working days and times.
*Competitive hourly rate of £14.50 (£28,000 FTE).
*Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
*Initially office-based, with hybrid working available upon successful completion of the probationary period.
