Conveyancing Assistant – Join a Supportive and Progressive Law Firm in Derby/Burton
A friendly, progressive law firm is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join its reputable conveyancing team, supporting a solicitor in one of its offices. This is a full-time, permanent position offering opportunities for career growth, a genuine work/life balance, and a collaborative work environment.
About the Role: You’ll work within a well-established residential conveyancing department led by an experienced property solicitor. As a Conveyancing Assistant, you’ll provide essential support on a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, from initial instruction to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
*Preparing documents and correspondence using audio typing, word processing, or digital dictation
*Attending daily post meetings, managing filing systems, and handling delegated tasks
*Maintaining and updating the case management system efficiently
*Completing client ID checks, populating case details in P4W, and preparing files for fee earner work
*Handling file closures and associated administration
About You: To succeed in this role, you will need:
*Previous experience in an administrative role within a conveyancing team
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*The ability to prioritise tasks effectively
*A proactive and positive attitude
