Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
*Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to engineering safety standards.
*Continuous Improvement: Drive and sustain continuous improvement within the cell.
*Housekeeping: Uphold high housekeeping standards as per We Choose Zero guidelines.
*Technical Skills: Interpret technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T references.
*Inspection Duties:
*Provide CMM inspection coverage across the site as needed.
*Inspect and measure (using both CMMs and measuring equipment) supplies to ensure conformity with drawings and purchase orders.
*Support departments with quality-related investigations upon request.
*Conduct First Article reports and monitor statistical process control data.
*Equipment Operation:
*Program and operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other specialist inspection equipment.
*Product Conformance: Investigate non-conforming products using measurement equipment.
*Authorisation: Approve items as acceptable using an identified and approved signature.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, particularly with high-grade metal parts.
*Proficiency in using and programming CMMs and other measurement equipment.
*Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T references.
*Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
*Effective communicator and team player.
*Although strong experience with CMM machines is needed, formal qualifications are not.
