Job Description:
Technical Sales Administrator
OA are currently working with a growing organisation within the roofing solutions industry, looking to recruit a Technical Sales Administrator to support their sales team. This role combines customer interaction with technical knowledge, including preparing quotations, interpreting construction drawings, and providing product recommendations.
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (40-hour week)
*Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
*Benefits: 31 days holiday including Bank Holidays, free on-site parking, bonus scheme, and excellent growth opportunities.
Technical Sales Administrator – Key Responsibilities:
*Respond to customer enquiries promptly via email and phone.
*Review project details and assist customers with product selection.
*Use product knowledge to suggest tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
*Prepare and input accurate quotations into the system, ensuring all activities are recorded.
*Follow up on quotations and maintain ongoing communication with customers.
*Interpret construction drawings and incorporate them into proposals.
Technical Sales Administrator – Key Skills and Experience:
*Strong technical and logical mindset with excellent numerical skills.
*Previous customer service/admin experience in an office environment.
*A degree in Maths, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is desirable, or construction industry knowledge is also advantageous.
*Confident communicator with a professional approach to engaging with customers over the phone.
*High attention to detail, with strong literacy and organisational skills.
*A proactive, ’can-do’ attitude, with a genuine interest in numbers and problem-solving.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quick to learn new systems.
