Job Description:
Vessel Operator
Our client, a leading bespoke transport solutions provider that operates around the globe, is looking to recruit a Vessel Operator to join their team. If you have a marine / ships agency / vessel operations background and have a natural flair for organizing, with good attention to detail, this role could be perfect for you.
The Role:
You will be responsible for liaising with shipowners and agents, chartering vessels and dealing with sub-contractors such as cranes, and drivers, coordinating the vessels stay / loading, dealing with ships agents and port staff, liaise with internal offices. You will need to keep the agents informed, send communications to clients to keep regular updates, you would also need to work to resolve operational issues when required.
You will need to manage shipping documentation, assist the technical team, and complete all associated admin.
Essential Criteria:
*Previous exposure to maritime / shipping / vessel operations
*Exceptional organizational and Planning skills
*Flexible approach
*A ’can do’s attitude.

Salary & Benefits:
This company is looking to pay in the region of £25k - £32k depending on experience plus 25 days’ holiday.
Contracted hours 9-530 but a requirement to be flexible where shipping operations are 24/7. Time off in lieu is agreed ad hoc.
