Operations Manager – Food Production (Specialising in Meat & Game)
Are you an experienced Operations Manager or Production Manager with a background in food production? We’re hiring for an exciting role at a thriving Wholesale and Retail business specialising in premium British meat and game.
This is your opportunity to join a growing company supplying top-quality products to farm shops, restaurants, butchers, and retail outlets.
About the Role:
As Operations Manager, you will oversee and refine the operational processes across our diverse business units. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of Wholesale and Retail operations, including logistics, site management, and customer satisfaction.
This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career growth in an expanding business.
Key Responsibilities: *Oversee facilities and site management, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
*Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by upholding service standards.
*Manage fleet operations to ensure timely deliveries.
*Implement and monitor Health & Safety compliance in all processes.
*Oversee order collation, invoicing, and stock management.
Essential Requirements: *Food Production or Butchery Experience: A strong background in food or butchery is essential, with hands-on knowledge of food safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
*Proven experience in an Operations Management role within a similar environment, such as food production, wholesale, or high-volume catering.
*Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
*A track record of achieving compliance in Health & Safety and food standards.
*Approachable, positive, and highly adaptable with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Salary & Benefits: *Salary: Up to £50,000 (dependent on experience).

*Pension scheme: 3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution.
*Staff discount in our retail shop.
*Free on-site parking.
Work Schedule: *Flexibility is required for this role, including 1 in 3 Saturdays per month (with a day off in lieu).
