Senior Underwriter - Commercial Combined and Property Owners 
Our client is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join their established Commercial team and to focus on growing accounts with key strategic partners. 
The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and also from the Manchester office.
Your role: 
*Support profitable development of the Mid-Market Commercial Combined and Property Owners account by underwriting bespoke commercial risks.
*Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with a panel of Network brokers as their nominated underwriter.
*Develop and support the commercial account by engaging and encouraging new and existing relationships with brokers,
*Prospect and actively contribute to the growth targets of the team optimising sales and retention.
*Take ownership of large & complex cases and work proactively with the broker to negotiate the right outcome.
*Maintain and endeavour to exceed, agreed service levels to both internal and external customers.
*Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the commercial underwriting and broking market.
*Be a strong referral point for your team, providing technical assistance and guidance to junior colleagues.
Your experience:
*Experience in underwriting and trading mid-market Commercial Combined and Property Owners broker market.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence key stakeholders.
*Demonstrate ability to negotiate and influence through use of effective trading skills.
*Motivated, driven and adapts to change positively displaying a can do attitude.
*Willingly provides help and support to others and has the ability to work cooperatively with others.
*A team player, who is highly collaborative, empowering, and good at establishing and maintaining relationships with brokers and other internal stakeholders.
*You should have a strong customer service ethos, continuously and proactively looking to improve the quality of service provided to all customers.
*A confident decision maker who brings a strong and decisive approach to underwriting -
