Crawley - Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Clean Power/Energy
Platform has partnered with a leading Clean Energy company that are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in developing the electrical and power electronic systems that drive their cutting-edge products!
£65K-£73K
Main Duties:
*Design electrical networks for grid-connected systems (AC/DC configurations)
*Create electrical architecture diagrams and wiring schematics
*Assist in the creation of electrolyzer and fuel cell stack designs.
*Oversee and maintain electrical design materials and documentation and communicate with key stakeholders
*Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NFPA).
*Assist with system installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical components
Skills and Experience Required:
*Qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
*AC/DC distribution experience
*Power system design experience - cable sizing, protection device selection, and with control systems - PLC’s
*Proficient in power system design systems (ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB).
*Experience with British and international regulations and standards
*Have worked within R&D and prototype development environments.
*Experience with MW Scale systems desired
Salary/Location:
*The salary is circa £65K-£73K depending on experience
*This role is based in and around Crawley
