Job Description:
Reed Finance are exclusively engaged in the recruitment for a Financial Controller to join our leading professional services client based in the Brighton area. This role is crucial for overseeing the firm’s financial operations and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts.
*Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and provide financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
*Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the firm’s assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
*Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
*Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the firm’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
*Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
*Financial Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm’s financial strategy, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
*Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the firm.
*Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance and strategy to senior management and other stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
*Significant experience in a financial management role, preferably within a law firm.
*Strong leadership and management skills.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
