Job Opportunity: Science Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Preston
Salary: Pay in line with MPS (Main Pay Scale)
Contract: Full-time, January 2025 - January 2026
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists? Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while covering maternity leave for one year.
The Role *Start Date: January 2025
*End Date: January 2026
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons to KS3 students.
*Provide support to KS4 students in their Science studies, fostering their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject.
*Contribute to the school’s inclusive and collaborative environment.
*Maintain high expectations for student progress and behaviour.
About You We’re looking for a teacher who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and supporting KS4 students.
*Is passionate about making learning accessible and exciting for all students.
*Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
*Is committed to their own professional development and to supporting the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
