SEN Teaching Assistants -Skelmersdale
Position:SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:Skelmersdale
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary:£85 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with children with diverse needs and the ability to provide care, patience, and understanding in a school setting?
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team at a thriving SEN Secondary School in Skelmersdale. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in young people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supporting students with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities, visual impairments and more.
*Providing assistance with personal care when required.
*Encouraging and promoting independence while adapting learning strategies to meet individual needs.
*Remaining calm, patient, and proactive in challenging situations.
*Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
*Experience working with children with SEN needs.
*A calm, understanding, and compassionate approach with the ability to take initiative.
*Willingness to assist with personal care tasks if necessary.
*A valid right to work in the UK.
*A current Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one (we can assist with the application).
*Ability to provide reference details from previous employment or recent studies.
