Job Description:
Position: SEMH English Teacher
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and inspiring SEMH Teacher to join our supportive team in Oldham. If you’re enthusiastic, empathetic, and experienced in working with students with additional needs, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
*Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work collaboratively with the SENCO and support staff.
*Provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages the development of social, emotional, and academic skills.
*Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for each child.
*Monitor and report on students’ progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to meet diverse needs.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
*Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
