Role: Head of Projects
Salary: up to £110,000
Location: Cambridgeshire
Our client, a leading technology company based in Cambridgeshire are on the lookout for a Head of Projects. As Head of Projects, you will be leading and growing a talented team of Project Managers working on building the next generation of products and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
*Project Delivery & Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely, budget-friendly delivery that meets customer and business expectations, while driving process improvement and cost reductions.
*Planning & Reporting: Develop and implement clear delivery plans (6, 12, 24 months), track resources, monitor/report progress, manage risks, and deliver project reviews with lessons learned.
*Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Build strong relationships across teams, manage stakeholders with effective communication, and set direction for team priorities and talent development.
*Continuous Improvement: Enhance project frameworks, documentation, and methodologies to optimize operational and strategic outcomes.
*Field-Specific Work & Travel: Contribute to mission-critical global communications, with some travel required (full, clean driving license and personal car needed; expenses covered).
About you:
*Leadership & Motivation: Target-driven, commercially aware, and skilled in motivating teams to achieve success, with experience leading and developing project managers and improving processes.
*Project Management Expertise: Proven experience with major methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile, with a track record of delivering significant and positive business outcomes.
*Collaborative Skills: Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with team members and the wider business, fostering development and teamwork.
*Financial & Strategic Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L/balance sheets, prioritisation in complex situations, and strategic thinking with attention to detail.
*Problem-Solving & Qualifications: Inquisitive and constructive approach to challenging norms, capable of timely escalation to senior management, and holding relevant project management qualifications.
