A leading business operating in the construction engineering market is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in the Cardiff area. With a great portfolio established and expertise across many sectors, this is a highly successful company, eager to expand their core teams and offering to their clients.
In this exciting position, the successful candidate will be supporting on a number of diverse temporary and permanent projects, where they will be designing and providing their knowledge of geotechnical structures. The company have promised this will be a fruitful role and will allow the successful candidate to delve into new areas of knowledge and build upon their existing experience.
Your Roles & Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties will include but are not limited to:
*Designing both temporary and permanent geotechnical structures
*Creating designs for structural and civil schemes as well as giving input into schemes from other disciplines, ensuring these are reviewed and checked
*Undertaking extensive surveys and inspections of geotechnical structures
*Preparing reports based off of the findings from these investigations
*Ensuring feasibility is understood
*Working on project programmes as needed
*Supervising and, where needed, training junior members of the team
What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this role applicants must possess a relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification and in addition to this they must have at least 5 years of experience within a comparable role. Excellent communication skills are vital in this role as well as knowledge of engineering software.
Applicants must have a valid UK driving license and it would be beneficial to have access to a car, but not essential.

The company are offering the successful candidate a starting salary of up to £60,000, depending on the level of experience gained, and this will also accompany an attractive benefits package including excellent holiday options with the possibility to purchase additional days, and alongside this there will be a strong pension scheme, healthcare options, study support and paid membership to professional bodies and various other incentives and rewards.
This role can also be worked in a hybrid capacity with 3 days expected in the office and the rest working from home.
