Job Description:
Our client is a growing business with some exciting growth on the horizon.
Based in Kimbolton, our client are seeking an Assistant Accountant for someone to join them on a permanent basis.
Working alongside to the Financial Controller, the role will be varied and duties will include
*Purchase ledger processing
*Sales ledger posting
*Managing expenses
*Bank reconciliations
*Identifying and rectifying discrepancies
*Updating and maintaining stock records working closely with internal team members where appropriate
*Stock forecasts
*Credit control where necessary
*Quarterly VAT reconciliation and submission
*Assisting with supplier queries
*Setting up supplier payments and updating weekly cashflow
*Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
This role will suit someone who enjoys an all-round accounting position where duties are varied. You may be required in busy periods to roll up your sleeves and help out in variety of other areas of the business.
AAT qualified (or equivalent), experience working in an SME would be ideal and experience of Sage would be a distinct advantage although not essential.
Good Excel skills and the ability to interact with the wider business are also key to the success of this role.

Due to the rural nature of the role, own transport is required and this position is fully site-based.
