Medical and Attendance Officer
Employment type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Location: Westminster, London.
Salary: £25,700- £30,000 per annum.

This vital role involves ensuring pupils with medical needs receive exceptional care and support, while also monitoring and managing attendance to help drive pupil success.
Key Responsibilities:
*Medical and Welfare Support:
*Provide first aid and medical attention for pupils and staff.
*Administer medications as per care plans and ensure proper storage.
*Coordinate with healthcare professionals and maintain updated medical records.
*Assist pupils with personal hygiene and health concerns to support learning.
*Stock and maintain first aid supplies, including for school trips.
*Attendance Management:
*Monitor and improve pupil attendance.
*Communicate attendance importance to pupils, parents, and staff.
*Manage daily attendance records, follow up on absences, and liaise with the local authority.
*Implement attendance improvement initiatives and reward schemes.
*Information Management and Reporting:
*Maintain accurate records of medical interventions and report to parents as needed.
*Ensure medical and attendance data is entered correctly and complies with data protection regulations.
*Generate reports on attendance and medical incidents for management and external agencies.
Key Requirements:
*Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in education.
*Strong knowledge of medical needs and first aid (certification preferred).
*Excellent organizational and communication skills.
*Compassionate and effective when working with children.
*Proficient in school database systems, preferably SIMS.
*Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
