Health & Safety Coordinator
Leicester
£28,000 - £35,000 DOE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join a growing projects team as a Project & Health & Safety Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning supplier management, health and safety compliance, and onsite coordination. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth project operations while upholding safety and quality standards.
Description of the role:
*Maintain and update supply chain administration systems for accurate planning and reporting.
*Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
*Negotiate and administer legal supplier contracts.
*Manage external engineers’ training needs and oversee compliance with relevant H&S standards.
*Lead in-house health and safety training sessions.
*Coordinate health and safety on construction sites, including site audits and RAMS issuance.
*Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations when acting as Principal Contractor.
*Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while maintaining records.
*Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance and servicing.
*Ensure appropriate PPE is available for all staff.
About you:
*Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
*Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.
*IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications.
*Understanding of building construction and associated trades (preferred).
