Job Description:
Student Services Manager
We are seeking a student services manager to join an SEN school in Manchester to oversee and direct learning support mentors within the school. You will manage the well-being of all students to support their academic achievement and oversee any safeguarding issues or concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
*Promote inclusion and a positive working environment
*Deliver enrichment lessons to students, such as PHSE or food technology
*Support teachers and learning mentors in dealing with student behaviour
*Maintain and monitor behaviour records
*Oversee school attendance and punctuality
*Liaise with teachers, parents and any other members in the student’s support circle
*Monitor student progress and assist with mentoring and other interventions as required
The ideal candidate must be able to identify any children who are at risk of harm and know the characteristics of abuse or neglect. You will need good organisational skills, a calm manner, and a flexible approach to work.
