Job Description:
Our client based in West Yorkshire with an excellent reputation is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for optimising internal improvements within a fast-moving manufacturing business. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will be experienced within leading continuous improvement projects with the ability to review data.
The role
Responsible for the preparation of the manufacturing routes for both quotation and production purposes
Reviewing of contracts in order to determine manufacturing capability
Support product/process development and customer orders
Look to implement cost reduction plans by increasing process capability
Responsible for the monitoring of sample and development products
Monitoring of all processes in order to maintain and improve capability
Promote Health and Safety at all times
Lead continuous improvement projects
Responsible for the review and approval of raw material
This will be based on certification, purchase order and testing
Dealing with customer queries, resolving process/specification issues before order confirmation
The ideal Manufacturing Engineer
Previous working experience in manufacturing)
Experience within the application of statistical and problem solving tools
Ideally, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 6 Sigma, SPC
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to liaise with other teams to improve/discuss process improvement issues
