Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo)
Location: Brent, Greater London
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Role and Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
*Develop and implement strategies to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
*Coordinate and oversee the work of support staff, ensuring effective deployment and training.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans (IEPs).
*Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEND, adapting support as necessary.
*Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies related to SEND.
*Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of three years’ teaching experience.
*National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
*Proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs.
*Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners.
*A deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
