Full-time, Monday to Friday
£83.33 per day

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Maidstone
School: Highly-Regarded Special Needs School
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an outstanding special needs school in the Maidstone area, supporting secondary-aged students with PMLD. This is a unique opportunity to work within a nurturing and inclusive environment, where you can help students flourish both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide individual and group support to secondary students with PMLD, assisting with learning activities and daily tasks.
*Offer personal care support, including help with toileting and feeding, while ensuring each student’s dignity and well-being.
*Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and manage behaviour effectively.
*Create a supportive, safe, and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

*Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach.
*Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances.
*Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
