Junior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

My client is an award-winning software organisation. Due to this growth, they have created a brand-new role for a Junior Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Junior QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of SaaS products. You will work closely with developers, testers, and product owners to identify, isolate, and report defects, ultimately delivering high-quality software to customers. The core responsibilities of this role include:
Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases across various platforms and browsers to identify defects and ensure product quality, analysing acceptance criteria and ensuring thorough testing is conducted.
Defect Tracking: Report and track defects using a bug tracking system, providing detailed descriptions and steps to reproduce issues.
Test Case Creation: Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
Test Data Preparation: Prepare and manage test data to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand product features and requirements, providing feedback on quality and testability.
Learning and Development: Continuously learn and stay updated on QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Junior QA Specialist - Over to you! Our Ideal QA Candidate Will Have;
*Experience across the full quality assurance lifecycle including case creation, data preparation, manual testing and defect tracking.
*A good understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies.
*Familiarity with manual testing approaches, tools, and frameworks.
*Experience in executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
*Proficiency in defect tracking and management tools.
*Experience / knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
*An understanding of accounting practises and / or property technology is a bonus.
*Qualifications - higher education qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience and grade 6+ GCSE in Mathematics.
*ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is preferred.
*Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and identify edge cases and potential defects.
*Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
*Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
