Job Opportunity: Management Accountant
Location: Dartford
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car allowance
About the Role
Goldhawk Associates is partnering with a leading construction company to hire a skilled Management Accountant for one of their prominent divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a dynamic team and provide significant support to senior management, finance teams, and business leaders. You will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and asset management, while contributing to the overall performance and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Financial Reporting
*Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
*Create detailed financial packs for the Finance Leader’s review.
*Present divisional financials during monthly contract reviews to senior leadership.
*Business Partnering
*Collaborate with divisional leaders to drive financial performance and ensure alignment with financial goals.
*Provide guidance on cash management, asset tracking, and financial controls within the division.
*Budgeting and Planning
*Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
*Manage the forecasting and planning cycles, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
*Asset Management
*Oversee the divisional capital investment programme and prepare business cases for investment decisions.
*Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation and physical controls are in place.
Key Skills and Qualifications
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
*Proven experience working in a commercial environment with strong business acumen.
*Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and improve processes.
*Confident in managing senior executives and contributing to key business decisions.
