Mental Health Support Assistant - Slough

A highly regarded Specialist School in Slough is seeking a Mental Health Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. Pupils at the school face challenges such as anxiety, trauma, OCD, depression, attachment disorders, and behavioral difficulties. The school is looking for a Mental Health Support Assistant who is empathetic, proactive, and ready to make a difference.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or vulnerable individuals. Graduates with qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling are particularly encouraged to apply, although prior experience is not essential.

*Hours:Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Responsibilities Include:
*Supporting students with SEMH needs in their daily learning and emotional development.
*Providing both 1:1 and group assistance tailored to individual needs.
*Collaborating with staff and external professionals to help students thrive.
*Encouraging positive behaviors and assisting in building emotional resilience.
