Job Description:
Management Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated Management accountant to join our Kilburn based team! In this role you’ll work with the Head of Finance to manage, maintain, and develop the Finance Function for both UK & Eire businesses as well as the wider group, ensuring our financial processes remain in line with business objectives.

Skills required:
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Team player capable of developing a team and their processes.
*Hands on, tenacious, and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines under pressure.
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
*Self-Motivated with good time management, organisational and administrative skills.
*Desire to learn, support and develop with a mindset of continuous improvement.
*Preferably a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
*Ability to acquire technical knowledge (e.g., accounting or tax) to liaise with third parties.
*Proficient in Excel.
*Experience in the Building Merchant/Property industries is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities include:
Accounts
*Prepare, develop and deliver UK and Irish Accounts & Forecasts with commentary, analytics and review.
*Produce branch accounts and variance analysis.
*Prepare/review of Balance Sheet reconciliations, including cash, intercompany balances, accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts.
*Manage and maintain fixed asset registers, ensuring additions, disposals, and depreciation are correctly accounted for.
*Handle cash management, forecasting and, authorising payments.
*Support rebate recovery process and analysis.
*Manage National Statistic filings.
*Prepare, develop, and review KPI analysis for both staff and the business.
*Assist in the preparation and review of Company Accounts.
*Help to assess the viability of potential new projects.
Systems, Projects, and Development
*Manage and maintain accounting systems, working with internal and external IT providers as necessary.
*Identify issues, develop and recommend changes to existing processes.
*Take the lead in various ad hoc projects.
*Assist with HMRC related queries.
*Help improve Import and Export processes.
*Ensure adherence to all the FSC/PEFC reporting standards.
People
*Support, develop and assist the finance team (PL and Accounts).
*Provide day-to-day guidance and support to a team of 10 staff, assisting with annual appraisals as required.
*Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and make improvements.
*Help to manage the annual audit and resulting audit journals process.
*Adapt to the continually evolving business model.
Delivery and Communication of Financial Information
*Communicate key weekly and monthly reports.
*Develop new financial performance reporting/analysis as required to aid decision making.
*Design and deliver the continually evolving wider KPI Business Framework.
*Preparing financial information for external stakeholders.
*Ensure all internal and external department deadlines are met.
