Job Description:
Building Surveyor - Historic Building Expertise and Collaborative Projects A leading architectural, heritage, and masterplanning practice based in Southwark is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their close-knit team.
This role offers the chance for a Building Surveyor to collaborate closely with an in-house architectural team while delivering exceptional building surveying services to private clients, with significant avenues for career progression as the team expands.
The Building Surveyor’s Role This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with a strong focus on historic and grade-listed buildings across sectors such as commercial, education, residential, cultural, and hospitality.
*Conduct condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and technical due diligence.
*Provide advice on the maintenance, refurbishment, and restoration of historic and grade-listed buildings.
*Prepare schedules of works and manage projects from inception to completion.
*Assist with planning and listed building consent applications.
*Build and maintain strong client relationships while liaising with stakeholders to ensure project success.
The Ideal Building Surveyor Will Have *A degree in Building Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
*Previous experience working on historic or grade-listed buildings (preferred).
*A strong understanding of building pathology and statutory compliance.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*A proactive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to manage workloads effectively.
In Return *Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
