Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join othis Law Firm. This role is critical in ensuring the firm adheres to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. You will support the development and implementation of compliance policies, manage risk assessments, and provide guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
*Regulatory Compliance:
*Monitor and ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards, including GDPR, AML, and SRA regulations.
*Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance policies and procedures.
*Risk Management:
*Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
*Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
*Policy Development and Implementation:
*Draft, update, and enforce compliance-related policies and procedures.
*Ensure staff are informed of and trained on compliance requirements.
*Auditing and Reporting:
*Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to compliance standards.
*Prepare and present reports on compliance activities and risks to senior management.
*Training and Awareness:
*Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
*Maintain awareness of emerging regulatory changes and disseminate updates to relevant teams.
*Incident Management:
*Investigate compliance breaches or incidents and propose appropriate remediation.
*Maintain accurate records of compliance investigations and resolutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or a related field.
*Experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role, ideally within a law firm.
*Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, GDPR, SRA Codes of Conduct).
*Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
*Proficiency in compliance tools and software is a plus.
