Job Summary
Our client is a manufacturer of structural steelwork, balconies, staircases, metal balustrades, railings, glass systems. We are currently seeking an experienced estimator/senior estimator to join their team.
This is a full-time position - Monday to Friday - 08:00am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
*Estimating structural and architectural metalwork by analysing project drawings, specification and tender documents.
*Preparing estimates to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
*Monitor costs through the project and provide updates to senior management.
*Attend site to undertake initial project and pre-start meetings where required.
*Establish, develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
Knowledge and skill
*Experience as an estimator/senior estimator within the metalwork industry for a minimum of 3 years
*Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate estimates are issued and risk is reviewed.
*Strong understanding of construction drawings, steelwork specifications and industry standards.
*Proficiency in MS office suite programmes, especially excel.
*Strong background in securing successful project bids including negotiating and value engineering.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
