This very appealing, home-based role has arisen with a highly respected independent commercial insurance brokerage based in the Nottingham area.

Established over a century ago, our client has a fine reputation within the local business community for providing tailored insurance solutions to a wide range of industry sectors.

This position has arisen as a result of ongoing growth of the account. Principally, we are looking for someone to perform Account Handling duties across a range of SME/ commercial insurance products, including but not limited to, Commercial Combined, Packages, Property Owners and Retailers etc. Key responsibilities here will include handling renewals, processing mid-term amendments, providing quotations, and dealing with general day to day client enquiries. You’ll be using the Acturis broking platform, and whilst experience of using this is not essential, it would certainly add weight to your application.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who would like to get involved with networking and developing new business for the company. Having said that, THIS IS NOT a heavily targeted new business role. The company benefits from lots of regular enquiries, has access to impressive marketing capabilities, and is looking for someone who wants to take the lead in exploiting these opportunities. As such, this opportunity could be perfect for an Account Handler who would like to assume some Account Executive responsibilities, who is not being given the chance to do this at their current firm.

Refreshingly, there is also flexibility in regard to where you take this role. For example, you could continue with a hybrid Account Handler / Executive position, or work towards becoming a fully-fledged Account Executive.

It’s essential that you have previous Account Handling experience, together with a knowledge of the main commercial insurance classes, including Property, Liability/ Commercial Combined. Just as importantly, you’ll be a strong team player, who is well-organised, efficient and highly personable. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in finding out about businesses and their requirements, and who enjoys building and developing relationships.

You’ll be rewarded with a basic salary of up to circa £40K (Negotiable), together with a range of company benefits including a generous profit share scheme.
