Job Description:
Our client, a leading intellectual property firm, is currently seeking an experienced Patent Administrator to join its Cambridge office. With an excellent reputation in the industry, this firm offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to its prestigious team.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of prior experience in patent administration and a comprehensive understanding of patent procedures and documentation. The role offers a competitive salary, along with the flexibility of working only two days a week in the office, allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
*Patent Management: Administer and manage the lifecycle of patents, including filings, renewals, and maintaining accurate records
*Documentation & Correspondence: Prepare and handle correspondence with clients, patent offices, and attorneys; Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal and procedural requirements
*Docketing & Deadlines: Monitor and manage patent-related deadlines, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to deadlines
*Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients, addressing inquiries, and offering guidance on patent-related matters
*Database Management: Maintain and update the firm’s patent database, ensuring all information is current and accurately reflected
Qualifications:
*A minimum of 5 years of experience in patent administration, with a solid understanding of patent processes and regulations
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Proficiency in relevant patent management software and tools
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
