Software Engineer - Python & JavaScript
Remote (UK only)
£65,000 - £100,000 DOE +ISO options from day 1
**ideally you’ll possess a degree in Computer Science / Physics (or similar) from a top university and worked for an AI native or AI focussed business.
Better Placed Technology has partnered with a Microsoft backed AI business that has exited stealth mode and is building next-gen LLMs. They were founded in Silicon valley and with an established team there and serious funding, they are now looking to grow out their UK based team.
The founding team is composed of industry leaders and innovators taken from some of the best-known tech businesses and universities on the globe. They’re working on cutting edge
technologies that are revolutionizing the AI landscape and bringing the next generation of LLMs to the market.
This role is fully remote, but it would be good if you are open to travelling to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.
Day to day:
*Design and develop interactive, scalable web applications using JavaScript, primarily Next.js, React, and Node.js.
*Build and maintain server-side APIs and integrate them with front-end applications.
*Write, test, and deploy machine learning scripts in Python, focusing on models that can drive real-time or batch processing requirements.
*Work closely with data scientists to transform ML models into production-ready scripts, optimizing for performance and scalability.
*Ensure high availability, scalability, and security for deployed applications and services in enterprise environments.
Skills required
*Solid background in Python
*Any experience with machine learning and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
*React, TypeScript and node for web applications
*Cloud (AWS) and containerization experience
