Role Overview:
We’re looking for enthusiastic Café Assistants / Baristas to join our team at The Pinnacle Bouldering Centre and Clip ’n’ Climb Northampton. You’ll work in our café, interacting with customers and serving a variety of food and drinks, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for customer service, this role is for you. Full training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
*Serve customers efficiently using our EPOS till system.
*Engage with customers to provide a welcoming and friendly experience, enhancing their visit to the centre.
Food & Beverage Preparation:
*Prepare and present our food items, ensuring they meet company guidelines.
*Make a variety of hot drinks (full training provided).
Operational Duties:
*Assist with the setup and cleaning of the café and seating area, ensuring a clean and inviting environment.
*Clear tables and perform general kitchen porter duties as needed.
Health & Safety:
*Follow risk assessments and adhere to operational procedures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Teamwork:
*Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth running of shifts and assist with any events or promotional activities.
*Attend ongoing staff training and development sessions.
Skills & Experience:
Required:
*Strong communication and customer service skills.
*Friendly, approachable, and able to work well in a team.
*Calm and organised under pressure.
*Able to take initiative and work unsupervised.
Desired:
*Previous experience in a café, barista, or customer service role (preferred but not essential).
Personal Attributes:
*Attention to detail and accuracy in serving food and drinks.
*Reliable, adaptable, and able to handle a busy environment.
*Positive attitude and willingness to assist in other areas of the centre when needed.

Expected Hours: 15 - 25 hours per week (day shifts, weekends, holidays)
