International Buying Manager | Womenswear | Global Management | Relocation to Australia | Circa £90,000 + Relocation and Benefits
Ready to lead the buying strategy for a dynamic, multi-million-pound global brand?
With over 300 stores across the globe and a rapidly expanding presence, this is your chance to shape the future of a brand that’s consistently ahead of the curve. If you have the experience and passion to manage the end-to-end buying process while leading a talented team, this could be the perfect next step in your career!
As Global Buying Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product strategy for a leading brand that is both innovative and commercially driven. You’ll oversee the entire buying process, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring that your categories thrive in a highly competitive market. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with Design, Planning, QA, and Marketing/Creative teams, working cross-functionally to deliver products that not only align with the brand vision but also react to the latest trends and consumer demand.
What You’ll Do: *Lead the Full Buying Process: Manage the end-to-end buying lifecycle across multiple categories, ensuring everything from product selection to delivery runs smoothly and aligns with the broader business goals.
*People Management & Leadership: Lead and inspire a large, diverse buying team, ensuring they are motivated, empowered, and working cohesively to achieve both team and company objectives.
*Develop & Drive Product Strategy: Contribute to the brand’s product strategy with a sharp focus on growing specific categories, ensuring every product you buy is on-trend, commercial, and resonates with your target market.
*Trade Reactively: Stay ahead of emerging trends, identifying opportunities to capitalise on market shifts and making quick decisions to ensure commercial success.
*Financial Mastery: Own the financials-margins, stock flow, sales targets, and market data-making sure the business hits its KPIs while optimising the product range for profitability.
*Performance Management: Dive into the details of slow performers, managing promotions, markdowns, and stock moves to maximise profitability and sales potential.
*Experienced People Manager: You have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams with respect, empathy, and clear direction.
*Global Buying Expertise: With experience in managing multi-product categories and a deep understanding of market trends, you know how to stay one step ahead and react quickly to shifting consumer preferences.
*Commercial Acumen: You are financially astute, with the ability to make data-driven decisions on stock flow, margins, and sales targets.
*Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a cross-functional environment, working closely with design, planning, QA, and marketing teams to ensure every product lands successfully in-store and online.
Open to Relocating? *Relocate to Australia and lead a growing team in a bouyant market.
*Thriving Economy: Australia is one of the world’s most stable economies, with a strong retail sector and a growing appetite for fresh, innovative products. It’s a hotbed of opportunity for professionals in retail, buying, and product development.
*Work-Life Balance: Known for its relaxed lifestyle, Australia offers flexible working hours, outdoor activities, and a culture that values family and personal time. Plus, with beaches, mountains, and cosmopolitan cities all within reach, there’s always something new to explore.
*Cultural Diversity: Australia is a melting pot of cultures, which means you’ll be working with a diverse and inclusive team, gaining global perspectives that can enrich your personal and professional life.
*Career Growth: With rapid growth across multiple sectors, particularly in retail and e-commerce, Australia is home to some of the world’s most exciting brands. This is your chance to lead in a new market and accelerate your career with access to international networks and opportunities.
