Job Description:
Equifind has partnered with one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the UK to assist in the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager. This newly established role will be based at their London office near Liverpool Street station and requires office-attendance three days pw.
The business is a financial technology company that leverages advanced AI and algorithms to streamline its product offerings. It has achieved an average revenue growth of 46% over the past five years and proudly maintains 40% female representation in senior management roles. As they expand into North America, they are seeking a skilled and qualified accountant to oversee group reporting and consolidations.
Key duties include
*Take ownership of the monthly close process for all group entities, providing technical expertise on complex areas such as consolidation, cash flow statements, and intercompany transactions.
*Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, addressing queries from both local teams and the group consolidation team.
*Supporting with the preparation of annual budgets for the group
*Manage aspects of UK and USA tax reporting while liaising with external tax advisors
*Key point of contact for annual key elements of external financial audits across the group
*Contributing to the improvement and development of financial controls, processes, and reporting.
*Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely management information.
*Assisting with the migration of data from legacy accounting systems to the group’s accounting software.
Key requirements
*ACA/CA qualified accountant, preferably trained in audit
*A minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working within a group function
*Prior experience of working with FCA or SEC regulated businesses
*Advanced-level Excel skills
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
*Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
