Job Description:
We are excited to be partnering with a growing legal business based in the Birmingham City Centre to be recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis! This role will be joining a finance team of 10 to support with a range of tasks and assisting with being the missing link between accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and the head of finance.
This role will be a really engaging and interesting broad role which will have different tasks every day, allowing the right person to really sink their teeth into a variety of tasks.
This role is a newly created position within the business as they have recognised that someone to help bridge the gaps will be an amazing next step for the company, however due to the fact this role is a newly created role they are looking to recruit it on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a position the business are looking to start quite quickly, so please only apply if you are immediately available.
Key responsibilities:
*Providing support to the accounts payable team, including: *Processing invoices.
*Processing payment runs
*Ensuring enough money is in the bank account to fund the payment runs.

*Providing support to the accounts receivable team, including: *Raising invoices.
*Reconciling bank statements on an ad-hoc basis
*Supporting with cash allocation.

*Supporting treasury with a range of reconciliation and cash-flow tasks.
*Supporting head of finance with a range of month end tasks, including: *Preparing reports for the management accounts packs.
*Cash-flow analysis.
*Balance sheet reconciliations.

*Liaising with various departments to ensure accurate financial information.
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
*Have previously worked within finance, having had exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
*Have strong communication skills to liaising with a range of different departments.
*Be eager to learn and make the most of this amazing opportunity.
*Strong on Microsoft Excel, specifically being familiar with V-Lookups.
*Be immediately available, or on a short notice.
