Financial Accountant (Audit Specialist) 4 Month FTC - can be extended & the company is growing!
Up to £65k depending on experience
Farringdon London | Hybrid - 3 days in around ME. 2 days a week normal weeks
Are you a qualified Financial Accountant, ideally with an Audit background looking to make an impact in a growing, dynamic business?
Our client, a successful retailer with over 30 stores across the UK and US (and plans to open 5 more soon), is preparing for itsfirst audit early next year. With exciting growth on the horizon, they need your expertise to ensure they’re audit-ready and set for the next phase of their journey!
The Role Joining a collaborative team of 4, you’ll report directly to the Senior Finance Manager (SFM) and CFO, playing a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial records are in top shape ready for Audit next year.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Conducting bank reconciliations in their new accounting system (Xero) to ensure accuracy.
*Tracking and digitising paper records while resolving any discrepancies.
*Taking ownership of statutory accounts and collaborating with the SFM to prepare for the audit.
*Partnering with the SFM and CFO on ad-hoc projects and driving solutions.
*VAT Reports - ensuring calculated correctly
*Support the SFM with system improvements
*Analysing findings and supporting the wider finance team with follow-up actions.
*Business partner with stakeholders and wider teams across the business
What We’re Looking For *ACA/ACCA qualified, with training and experience in a Practice environment.
*Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with audit standards.
*A meticulous eye for detail and a natural ability to dig deep into data.
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you thrive as part of a team.
*A flexible, proactive mindset to tackle challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
