Job Description:
We have a new opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. 
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain a breadth of experience across public and private sector procurement and for someone working towards professional qualifications (e.g. CIPS/MCIPS). 

Duties:

Working closely with the Head of Procurement and our operational teams, you will provide efficient and effective procurement of externally provided services, delivered to and on behalf of BD Group, and support with procuring of a range of contracts including indirect, hard and soft facilities management category areas. 

Duties include:
*Manage the shared mailbox, ensuring items are responded to or escalated, 
*Deal with day to day procurement queries and requests in accordance with both internal and public procurement legislation 
*Support on setting up supplier meetings, including contract management meetings.
*Oversee user access for online portals (including eTendering Portal). 
*Manage the onboarding of new suppliers, in accordance with standard operating procedures. 
*Ensure supplier records/documentation is up to date and correctly stored. 
*Liaise with the accounts payable team loading the vendor record. 
*Undertake due diligence checks on new suppliers and carrying out supplier reviews as required. 
*Ensure all new suppliers assessments are completed by stakeholders.
*Maintain procurement records according to the PPPP (Purchasing and Procurement Policies and Procedures) for audit purposes
*Provide support to the Head of Procurement by compiling relevant documents, specifications and associated forms for RFQ and tender processes, evaluations and award of contracts. 
*provision of feedback to bidders and support the defence of Group procurement decisions if challenged.
*Undertake due diligence checks on new suppliers and carrying out supplier reviews as required.
*Load and update information held on the intranet and SharePoint and Teams, (forms, templates, guidance, procurement data and team site content).

Qualifications & Experience:
*Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CIPS), or working towards  
*Relevant experience in administration, procurement or supplier management teams, ideally gained within the facilities management sector (soft and hard FM) 
*Experience of drafting contracts and service agreements.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to details 
*A positive and collaborative team player with a pro-active approach 
*Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
*Good communication skills and ability to interact with a range of stakeholders
*Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality. 
*Able to analyse and interpret data including financial information. 
*High attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Arrangements:
*Working pattern: Full time (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
*Location: Dagenham 
*Hybrid – 3 days per week in office
