Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our established private consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in quantity surveying while working on a wide range of exciting projects across residential, commercial, and public sectors. Full support for professional development, including progression towards MRICS accreditation, will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
*Support senior team members in managing procurement processes and contracts.
*Conduct measurement, take-offs, and cost analysis.
*Help with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
*Attend site visits and support the monitoring of project progress.
*Assist in conducting feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
*Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.
*Collaborate with team members and contribute to successful project delivery.
Requirements:
*Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
*1-3 years of experience in a consultancy or construction environment.
*Strong understanding of construction methods and cost management principles.
*Ambition to progress towards MRICS accreditation (support provided).
*Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
*Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
