The Upstream Energy Broker will be joining a specialist upstream insurance team that offers a comprehensive range of coverages including physical loss or damage, business interruption, control of well, machinery breakdown, and decommissioning risks.
This role will incorporate market negotiations and client relationship management.
Overview
*Work closely with clients to understand needs and review risk information.
*Create bespoke risk solutions that meet client requirements
*Identify appropriate markets and devise a placement strategy
*Prepare slips and underwriter presentations
*Lead market negotiations and resolve any subjectivities
*Ensure that clients are kept updated throughout the placement process
What is required
*Experience and understanding of international upstream energy risks
*Familiarity with placing risks into the Lloyds / London market
*Ability to devise complex risk programmes
*Ability to create market broking documentation
*Strong client relationship skills
