Security Consultant - Information Security Location: Suffolk - Hybrid
Salary: Up to £70,000 Basic Per Annum + 15% Bonus
The Role A leading organisation is seeking a skilled and proactive Security Consultant to bring technical expertise in information security and risk management. This role involves working closely with diverse business units, providing guidance through security processes, and ensuring the delivery of safe and secure services.
The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders, conduct risk assessments, and offer expert advice on security requirements while supporting the secure delivery of business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities *Partner with business units to ensure security is effectively integrated into projects and programs.
*Provide consultancy on information security, solution design, risk assessment, and adherence to security policies and standards.
*Perform technical risk assessments, recommend treatment options, and track remediation or acceptance of risks.
*Review security requirements and evidence as part of the secure project lifecycle process.
*Liaise with stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and privacy officers, to embed security into initiatives.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, raising awareness of security risks and initiatives.
*Support the development and management of Risk Acknowledgement and Mitigation Plans (RAMPs).
*Translate complex security risks into clear business language and actionable insights.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will bring:
*Extensive experience working within Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) and DevSecOps environments.
*Strong knowledge of information security risk and governance frameworks such as ISO 27005 and EBIOS.
*A proven track record in conducting project and technical risk assessments.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
*Analytical and reporting expertise with exceptional attention to detail.
*A recognised information security certification, such as CISSP or CISM.
*Experience in multinational environments, with the ability to recommend and communicate effective risk mitigation strategies.
