Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Birmingham. The role offers a hybrid working model with three days in the Birmingham office and two days from home. With standard hours of 37.5 per week, work-life balance and flexibility are key to this role.

What you’ll do:
As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in providing financial support for the contract/profit centre management team. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, preparing periodic budgets and forecasts, completing audit packs for interim/annual audits, producing and reporting on cash flow forecasts, and explaining variances to profit centre managers. Your ability to support operational management with quality information will assist in delivering improved results through good control and challenge to processes in operation.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position will be part-qualified or QBE with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and understanding. You will have strong IT skills, including a good knowledge of SAP and intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP’s Pivot Table). Your knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations, reporting requirements, and forecasting will be invaluable in this role. Excellent communication skills are required as you’ll need to build strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders. A proactive and organised approach is essential.
