Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised Finance Manager to join a leading care organisation in the East Midlands on a 12 month FTC. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic team, managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. With a focus on developing and implementing internal controls, preparing financial statements, and mentoring the management accounting team.
As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading and overseeing the delivery and reporting strategy of the record-to-report function. You will be entrusted with managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and guaranteeing the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing internal controls, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and providing guidance to the management accounting team.
*Oversee day-to-day financial operations, management accounts production, and general ledger management
*Develop and maintain accounting controls to ensure financial accuracy and security
*Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
*Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
*Supervise, train, and mentor the management accounting team
*Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
*Optimise financial reporting processes through the finance system and BI team
What you bring:
As our ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role, you bring along a wealth of experience in accountancy, financial reporting, and managing multiple entities. Your strong technical knowledge enables you to analyse financial performance effectively. You are well-versed with IFRS and UK GAAP. Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact seamlessly with both internal and external stakeholders. Your keen attention to detail coupled with your ability to thrive under pressure makes you stand out. Experience within the healthcare industry would be an added advantage.
*Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
*8+ years of experience in accountancy, financial reporting, and managing multiple entities
*Strong technical knowledge and the ability to analyse financial performance
*Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
*Experience with change management and reporting within the healthcare industry is desirable
